House Fire

I was in a hurry.  The kitchen was a mess.  I needed to chop some onions quickly, so I plopped one of chopping boards on to the stove and quickly did the job.

However, the house filled with this acrid smoke!  Thinking there was a fire, I set about trying to find the source - kicked open some windows, pulled the circuit breaker to the house and we cleared out!

The house fire turned out to be the chopping board melting into one of the elements of the stove top!  Needless to say, yes I knew better.  My son knew better than to leave a burner on after making soup.  Sigh.

So after the house was cleared of smoke, my youngest daughter brought this to my attention, "Are you out of your flippin' mind?!?!?!?"  LOL!

It was so beautiful I had to photograph the moment....
